Verse of the day 😕 The wonders of your kindness. ? (Psalm 17. 7)

When we do good with the heart, we are actually doing it. But generally we don’t give heart. Our Lord and Master does not do this. His favors are always done with the love of your heart. The Lord Jesus does not send us sausages or crumbs from the table of his magnificence. Instead, the Lord Jesus is dipping our morsel into His own bowl, seasoned with the spices of His obvious affections. When he places the golden pawns of his grace in the palms of our hands, he accompanies giving with such a loving handshake that the way he gives is as precious as the gift. The Lord Jesus will come to us, fulfilling his purposes of goodness, but not acting as some visitors do with the poor in their huts. He will sit beside us and will not reduce our poverty or rebuke our weakness. What words of comfort are these words from the lips of our Lord! What a loving embrace he extends to us! If he gave us pennies, the way he gave us would have made them gold. But in reality, the precious gifts are sent in golden baskets through his pleasant carriage. It is impossible to doubt the sincerity of this love, because there is a bloody heart marked on the face of all its charitable acts of kindness.

  • The Lord Jesus gives us freedom (see James 1.
  • 5).
  • Without censorship with the slightest indication that we are a burden to him; not by looking coldly at his retirees.
  • But on the contrary.
  • The Lord Jesus rejoices in his mercy.
  • Ingesting us to approach him.
  • While sharing his life with us.
  • There’s a fragrance in your lemongrass that can only produce your heart.
  • A sweetness in the Lord Jesus that could not exist if it were not mixed with the very essence of his love.
  • O rare communion that produces such a singular sincerity!.
