May 19th? We can be God’s spokespersons

Verse of the day: Therefore, thus said the Lord, If ye repent, I will bring thee back and stand before me; If you take away the precious from the vile, you will be my mouth; And they shall become thee, but ye shall not pass from him (Jeremiah 15:19).

Poor Jeremiah, why do we say that? After all, the weeping prophet was a chosen servant of God and one of the most honored by Him, among many others; Jeremiah was hated for telling the truth; the word that was so sweet to him was bitter to his listeners. He was accepted by his Lord. Jeremiah was ordered to persevere in his faithfulness; And the Lord would continue to speak through him. With boldness and truth, Jeremiah had to face men, thus doing the divine work of boasting to those who, in their time, professed only to serve God. Then the Lord gave him this commandment: “Do you want to be my mouth?”

  • Shouldn’t all pastors and believers desire it intensely? What a marvel.
  • God speaks through us! We will tell the truth authentic and sure; and we’ll do it with power.
  • Our word will not return empty; it will be a blessing to those who receive it and a danger to those who reject it.
  • Our lips will feed a lot of people.
  • We will awaken those who sleep and resurrect the dead.

O dear reader, you must pray that this truth may be fulfilled in the lives of all the servants of our Lord.
