May 14th? Ideas have consequences

Ideas have consequences

Verse of the day: The purpose of this warning is love (1 Timothy 1. 5).

  • Victor Frankl was arrested in the Nazi concentration camps of Auschwitz and Dachau during World War II.
  • As a Jewish professor of neurology and psychiatry.
  • He became known worldwide for his book.
  • Man in Search of Sense.
  • Which sold more than eight million copies.

In this book, he reveals the essence of his philosophy, which has come to be called logotherapy, which states that the most fundamental human motive is to make sense of life. He observed in the midst of the horrors of the fields that man can bear. almost any “way” of life, if you have a “why. “But the quote that moved me recently was:

I am absolutely convinced that the gas chambers of Auschwitz, Treblinka and Maidanek were ultimately not built in either of Berlin’s two ministries, but in the offices and classrooms of nihilistic scientists and philosophers (?Victor Frankl at Ninety: An Interview? [In Victor Frankl at Ninety: An Interview?], In First Things, April 1995, p. 41).

In other words, ideas have consequences that bless or destroy. People’s behavior, good or bad, does not come from nothing, it comes from dominant visions of reality that take root in the mind and produce good or evil.

One of the ways the Bible clarifies the truth that ideas have practical consequences is to say things like, “Everything that was once written for our teaching was written, so?”Are you hopeful? (Romans 15,4). The ideas presented in the scriptures produce the practical consequence of hope.

Once again, Paul says, “Is the purpose of this protest out of love?(1 Timothy 1. 5). The communication of ideas through the “Instruction ” produces love.

Hope and love don’t come out of nowhere. Are they emerging from ideas, visions of reality, revealed in the scriptures?

Another way the scriptures show us that ideas have consequences is to use words? So you’re ?,? And similar (the Greek word these words translate appears 499 times in the New Testament). Justified because, by faith, we have peace with God for our Lord Jesus Christ?(Romans 5. 1). Now, is there no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus?(Romans 8. 1). So, don’t you worry about tomorrow? (Matthew 6. 34).

If we want to live in the power of these great and practical? And ‘therefore’, do we have to hold on to ideas?Visions of reality? They happen before them and are beneath them.
