Verse of the day 😕 Co-heirs with Christ. ? (Romans 8. 17)
The infinite domains of the Father’s universe are, by prescriptive right, Christ’s. How to inherit all things? (Hebrews 1. 2), the Lord Jesus is the sole owner of all God’s creation. It allowed us to affirm that the whole world belongs to us by the title of joint heirs that the Lord Jesus has ratified with his chosen people. The golden streets of paradise, the gates of pearls, the river of life, the transcendent blessings and the indescribable glory are bestowed upon us, by our blessed Lord, as an eternal possession. Everything that the Lord Jesus has, he shares with his people. The royal crown that he placed on the head of his church, designating it as a kingdom and calling his sons “royal priesthood”? (1 Peter 2. 9). He removed the crown from us so that we could be crowned with glory. He would not sit on his own throne until there was a place for anyone who would win in his blood. With the head crowned, the whole body shares the honor. Look, that’s the reward for every winning believer! The throne, the crown, the scepter, the palace, the treasure, the robes and the inheritance of Christ? they are all ours. Much more than distrust, selfishness and greed, what does not benefit those who practice it? The Lord Jesus considers that his happiness is completed by sharing it with his people. “Did I pass on the glory you gave me?” (John 17:22); Have I told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete? (John 15. 11).
- The Father’s smiles are the sweetest for Jesus.
- Because his people share them; the honors of the kingdom of Christ are more pleasing.
- For his people appear with him in glory; the conquests of the Lord Jesus are more precious to him.
- For they have taught his people to overcome; rejoice on his throne.
- For there is a place for his people; the Lord Jesus rejoices in his royal garments.
- For his edges extend over his disciples; rejoice much more in his joy.
- For he invites believers to enter into this enjoyment.
