Verse of the day 😕 In fact, Christ rose from the dead. ?(1 Corinthians 15:20)
Christianity is based on the fact that Christ is risen. “If Christ is not risen, our preaching is in vain, and your faith is in vain; And do you still remain in your sins? (1 Corinthians 15:14, 17). The divinity of Christ has the surest proof of his resurrection, since then? Was he named the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of holiness through the resurrection of the dead? (Romans 1. 4). We could talk about the divinity of Jesus, if he had not risen. Furthermore, Christ’s sovereignty depends on his resurrection, since it is precisely for this purpose that Christ died and rose again: to be Lord of both the dead and the living? (Romans 14: 9). Our justification, the selective blessing of the covenant, is tied to Christ’s triumphant victory over death and the grave. Was he freed for our transgressions and resurrected for our justification? (Romans 4. 25). Our own regeneration is linked to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; Has God regenerated us in living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead? (1 Peter 1. 3). And surely our final resurrection is based on the resurrection of Christ? “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal body through his Spirit, who dwells in you? (Romans 8. 11). If Christ is not resurrected, neither will we. But if he is resurrected, those who sleep in Christ have not perished, and in his flesh they will see their God. The silver thread of resurrection runs through all of the believer’s blessings, from regeneration to eternal glory, uniting them all. So how important will this glorious fact be to him, and how happy will he be to be established, above suspicion? In fact, did Christ rise from the dead?
