Verse of the day: The Lord gives grace and glory (Psalm 84. 11).
Grace is what we need now and we can have for free What could be more free than a gift?Today we will receive a grace that sustains, strengthens, sanctifies and satisfies, until today the Lord has given us grace for every day, and this grace is sufficient for the future. If we enjoy little grace, it is our fault, because God does not limit himself or take long to grant it in abundance. We can plead as much grace as we want, without ever fearing a refusal; he gives it freely and does not censor us.
- The Lord may not give us gold.
- But He will give us His grace; he probably won’t give us wealth.
- But he’ll grant us his grace.
- Of course.
- God will send us evidence; however.
- It will grant us a grace proportional to such evidence.
- We may be called to suffer and work hard.
- But with this call will come all the grace we need.
What wonderful blessing is added in this verse by the expression?What about glory?! We do not need glory in the present and we are not yet prepared for it, yet we will have it in due course. After trying the bread of grace, we will drink the wine of glory. Do we have to go through the holy place?To the Holy Place of Saints? Enough to make a person jump with joy. A little more, a little more and we’ll be in glory forever!
