This conversation with Gloria Furman will make us realize that we can spontaneously be women of the spoken word in our daily lives. Gloria circulates the Word of God in her home in an educational way for her children, and in this video she shows us how it is possible for a busy mother to live for Christ. Watch the interview:

- Gloria.
- Thanks for coming.
- We would like to talk a bit about your books.
- We are going to talk about the book No Time for God.
- Which is about motherhood.
- I have a niece who has two very young children and has had little time for herself and the Lord.
- In fact.
- The time you have to be alone with the Lord is after you breastfeed the baby.
- At 2:30 a.
- M.
- When you can pray and spend time with the Lord.
- He seems to have adjusted well to this.
- And I wanted to know how you are doing with 4 children so that you can spend time alone with the Lord.
Gloria Furman: Great question
I remember when I was faced with this problem when I only had one daughter. After my newborn was born, after I fed the baby, when the baby fell asleep, the nurse said, “Okay, wake her up in two hours and start again. “
“In just two hours. ” My day turned into twelve different days in one day. Two hours, two hours, two hours, two hours. I was upset and ended up neglecting my own feeding of God’s Word because I was so focused on feeding my son. So, I was so overwhelmed with all the little things that I had to do that they didn’t feed me.
I realized this after a few months. ?Oh no! I’m hungry !? I realized that I could not live my life by putting God in a separate compartment and leaving my life there, entering a spiritual period and then returning to my daily life. I realized it was something I couldn’t do. God is with me, Jesus is with me, the Holy Spirit is in me, I need to feast on the Word of God every day. But how is this done in practice?
One of the things that helped me a lot was learning from the women around me who had very crazy lives, who took hours to get to work, many children, people with disabilities and other needs in the community. family and that he had so little time alone? I realized that many women in the world who are believers are not physically alone. Do they live in big houses, large families, in refugee camps, do they live in villages, do they live in apartments? They are not alone.
Then I began to realize, “I think I created an idol of ‘Being alone’, thinking that only when I am alone can I have communion with God. ” I realized that Jesus was not alone with his disciples, he was with his disciples. So I tried to make it part of my daily life all the time.
So I read the Bible with my kids and if someone wakes up early, “Sit here, because I’ll read it out loud. ” Years have passed, my oldest daughter is ten years old and she already knows that if she wakes up early in the morning she can sit next to me and read her Bible now that she can read. But before I learned to read, she sat, bent over like this, half asleep, half awake, while I read my Bible.
This produces several things. I can read and be with the Lord. I can pray. She sees me and is disciplined based on my example. So she knows: “Either way, my mom needs it. ” So she knows: “My mom lives from every word that comes out of God’s mouth, not only in the morning, but I see my mom praying in different parts of the house, I see my mom reading things, I listen to my mom talking on the phone with friends about what they read? And do children see the integrated Christian life, not the life they say? I think my parents believe in Jesus, but I never hear them talk about it, I never see them read, I never I see them evangelizing or witnessing to others, I never see these things, but they see the integrated life where Jesus is part of everything.
Yes, and it’s convenient, because you don’t have to find hours just to get it all done. I believe modeling for your children is one of the most effective ways to disciple and nurture yourself spiritually.
Being a mother is hard work, and it seems like the to-do list keeps growing each day, making it difficult to experience true joy in God. In this encouraging book for busy moms, Gloria Furman will help you align your vision of motherhood with what the Bible teaches. By showing you how to continue a dynamic relationship with God even when dirty laundry still needs to be washed, this book will help you appreciate Christ more deeply.
