Leonardo Sahium, exhibiting A2 9:11-15, showed how the prophet’s contemporary society was in spiritual and moral decline (as well as ours) and that God’s response was a message of judgment and mercy. God promises, through the prophet, to restore these rebels with mercy and to make them productive in the same way, we, who have been afflicted by God’s mercy in Jesus Christ, must be fruitful and proclaim this good news of mercy, because only she can transform this unbalanced society in which we live.
A2 lived in an unbalanced society, which was in the midst of a spiritual and moral earthquake; Then God lifts up this shepherd to proclaim a message of judgment and mercy; God, through the prophet, presents the diagnosis:
Is there any resemblance to our nation? Was there any hope in the midst of this spiritual earthquake?
On that day, I will lift David’s fallen tabernacle, repair its gaps; And, lifting him from his ruins, I will restore him as before; so that they may have the rest of Edom and all the nations that are called by my name, said the LORD, who does these things. Here come days, said the LORD, in which he who ara immediately follows what he harvests, and he who steps on the grapes, who casts the seed; the mountains will distill the must, and all the hills will melt. I will change the fate of my people in Israel; They will rebuild desolate villages and live there, plant vines and drink their wine, make orchards, and eat their fruits; I will plant them in their land, and from this land I gave them, they will no longer be uprooted, saith the Lord. your God (Aams 9:11-15)
God brings a message of hope through Amen: He will bring restoration. Faced with the decline of society, God brings a message of hope that is not based on men, their works, or their spirituality, but on divine mercy that says, “I will go up again,” I will repair, “I will change my luck, ” will I crash?”
It is a foundation of our faith: God’s mercy
After a specific mercy, on that day, will God’s action of mercy bring days?(Note the difference between the singular and the plural of “days” in the text). God said through A so many that people would plant and harvest without stopping. , if we are affected by God’s mercy, we will be productive, even in the midst of the imbalances of the world.
Moreover, the Lord declares that he is the one who changes the destiny of his people: will He plant his people, and will no one be able to uproot what he has planted (Aames 9:15)?Just as no one can take us out of the hands of Christ and the Father (John 10:28, 29).
Faced with this productive work, we must realize that part of our work is that of God’s collaborators (2:6:1,2). We can plant or water, but God brings growth (1 Corinthians 3:7) and for him it is glory.
See this message to Aus and understand: what is missing in our society are prophets like A so many, people who do not go to the palaces, who do not call themselves, but who have a very clear foundation of faith: I am someone with whom God has come the grace and mercy of God!
Our society needs the proclamation of divine mercy! God calls you to be productive. Stand before God, recognizing the mercy you have received and make a covenant for productivity and work!Do not try to stand before your Lord empty-handed, but full of fruit, that you may hear, “Very good good and faithful servant. ; in the small you have been faithful, I will put you above luck; enter into the joy of your master. ?(Mt 5: 20. 21)
