It was a warm September afternoon, a cool spring, sporting the colorful flowers on the way, the sea at the front was calm, only small waves came and went on the grey sand of the beach, on the horizon the sun that illuminated majestic scenery to see the huge roundness of the orange-red-fire sun disappear on the sea blue horizon. Many colors were mixed in this final scene of the day. An ecstatic setting of a creative God who paints the sky, the sun and the sea as he pleases.
At some point between the 50s and the 55 years we realized that the setting sun is the reality of our existence, the enthusiasm for the arrival of summer is waning, there is no longer that energy that bit in us the cravings of outdoor days full of activities, surrounded by people, loud and cheerful voices. Our gaze launches a new quest. Our aspirations are for the days of calm, low and rhythmic voices, which slow down. The multitude of unknown faces no longer leaves us so perplexed and excited, in this new stage of life the presence of a few characters gives us time to delight. Sincere conversations, quiet smiles, outstretched hands, it’s as if a big puzzle ended up at the dining room table, the pieces came together to form a final and complete picture (although some characters are missing that helped put the puzzle together).
- The last part that grows a plant is the fruit.
- After flowering comes the fruit and then we leave the seed for the next seedling when a new life cycle begins in the hands of our heavenly farmer.
Beloved sheep, you have a gift from God, yes, we all have gifts. Some gifts are pretty developed, some less. These skills we receive are not for our personal pleasure, but for serving each other. Our gifts, in addition to serving, must be passed on to each other as soon as life is renewed.
We serve with our gifts and are served with the gifts of others, so that the Body of Christ may work. Christ, the head, teaches us to be cooperatives in the body and we pass on the instruction to the little ones.
Unlike the world, mature people can also serve during the most mature season of their lives. It’s grace.
Sheep, let’s not get discouraged by age. We can move forward the years with the joy of serving and teaching others to serve with the gifts they have received. This is the color tone of the Body of Christ, we start with the spring tones and continue with the autumn tones.
The source of the vitality of the Lord’s daughters is not in their own strength, but in God.
But those who wait for the Lord renew their strength, rise with eagle wings, run and do not tire, walk, and do not tire. Isaiah 40:31
