June 3rd? Daily devotion CHARLES SPURGEON

Verse of the day: “They were potters, and they lived in orchards and savannahs; there they stayed with the king in his work. ?(1 Chronicles 4. 23? ARC)

The potters were not the noblest working class, but the king needed them. Therefore, they were in the service of the king, although the material with which they worked was clay. We can also participate in the humblest part of the Lord’s work, but it is a great privilege to do anything for the King; therefore, we will remain in our vocation, with the hope that, although we are “between the hedges of the folds”, we will always be like “the wings of the dove. ” covered in silver, whose largest feathers have the glitter of gold in the form of sequins? (Psalms 68,13). Those who lived in the gardens and on the savannas had to do exhausting, arduous, insulating and enveloping work in the dirt of the ditches. They may wish to live in the city, in the midst of society and its refinements, yet they remained in their designated places as they were also doing the king’s work. The place of our dwelling is fixed. We should not abandon it on a whim, but seek to serve the Lord where we live, being a blessing to those among whom we live.

  • These potters and gardeners had the king’s company.
  • For there they stayed with him; although they lived between fences and plants.
  • They lived with the king; no humble work can prevent us from having fellowship with our divine Lord.
  • Visiting crowded homes.
  • Workplaces and prisons.
  • We can go with the King in all works of faith.
  • We can be sure that we have the company of Jesus.
  • When we are involved in your service.
  • We are convinced of your approval.
  • You.
  • Unknown workers who engage in the work of your Lord.
  • Amid the filth and insignificance of the humblest.
  • Are in a good mood.
  • Because jewels have been found in manure.
  • Vases of earth have been filled with heavenly treasures.
  • And weeds have become precious flowers.
  • Be with the king to do his job.
  • And when you type your columns.
  • Your name will be saved.
