Verse of the day: The Fear of the Lord prolongs the days of life, but the years of the wicked are shortened (Proverbs 10:27).
There is no doubt about this fact: the fear of the Lord leads us to virtuous habits; and warns us against the waste of life that results from sin and wickedness. The holy rest that is born as the fruit of faith in the Lord Jesus also greatly helps a person when he is sick. Every doctor is glad to have a patient whose mind is full of immobility. Agitation kills, but trust in God is like a healing medicine.
- Therefore.
- We have all the resources for a long life.
- If it is for our own good.
- We will have a good old age and we will reach our graves as corn harvested in its time.
- Let us not be overwhelmed by the sudden expectation of death.
- When our fingers hurt; on the contrary.
- We should be expected to work for a considerable number of years.
What will happen if we are soon called to the higher sphere of life?Of course, there is nothing to regret in such a call and everything we rejoice in. Living or dying, we belong to Señor. Si we live, the Lord. Jesus is with us, if we die, we will be with him.
True longevity is living, during our existence in this world, not to waste time, but to use every hour to achieve the highest goals. May this day be so!
