Verse of the day: Man will live not only on bread, but from every word that comes out of God’s mouth (Matthew 4. 4).
God willing, we could live without food, as Jesus did for forty days; however, we could not live without His Word. Through it we have been created and only through it can we be preserved in our existence, because He sustains all things through the Word of His power. Physical food is a secondary cause; the Lord Himself is the main source of our livelihood. You can support us using the secondary cause or not; and we can’t restrict it to one way of doing things. Let us not be hungry for visible things; let us look at the invisible God. We have heard believers say that being in great poverty, when food is scarce, their appetite has also diminished; and others say that when they lacked the usual food, the Lord sent them unexpected help.
- We must feed on the Word of Dios.
- Es only with Him that we can resist the Evil One.
- Take that away from us and the enemy will have us under his control.
- Because we’ll soon faint.
- Our souls need food; and there is nothing but the Word of the Lord.
- Not all books and preachers in the world can offer us the simplest food; only the Word that comes out of God’s mouth can feed the believer.
- Sir.
- Always give us this bread.
- We think it’s more precious than the delights of kings.
