July 19th? Daily devotion CHARLES SPURGEON

Verse of the day: The Lord our God made us see his glory (Deuteronomy 5. 24).

God’s great intention in all his works is the manifestation of his own glory. Any goal lower than her would be unworthy of Him. How will God’s glory manifest itself to sinful creatures like us?Man’s eyes are tortuous; they are inclined to contemplate their own glory; man has great respect for his own abilities; He is not qualified to contemplate the glory of God; therefore, it is obvious that the ego must withdraw, so that there is a place for God. To be exalted. That is why he allows his people to live trials and difficulties. Realizing their foolishness and incapacity, God’s people will be ready to contemplate their majesty and glory when they come to provide deliverance.

  • He who lives in peace and quiet will see little of the glory of the Lord.
  • Those who navigate small streams and shallow streams know little about the God of storms.
  • But do those who trade in the vast waters see the Lord’s works and wonders in the depths of the sea? ‘abyss? (Psalm 107.
  • 23.
  • 24).
  • Amid the rising waves of affliction.
  • Poverty.
  • Temptation.
  • And rebuke.
  • We know the power of Jehovah.
  • Because we feel the insignificance of man.
  • So thank God if you are being led down a difficult path.
  • It gives you an experience of the greatness and goodness of God.
  • His difficulties have enriched him with a treasure trove of knowledge that cannot be obtained otherwise.
  • Your trials have been the crevice in the rock in which Jehovah has placed you.
  • As he did with his servant Moses.
  • So that you can behold his glory when he passes.
  • Praise God that you have not been left in the darkness and ignorance in which uninterrupted prosperity could have engulfed you.
  • In the battle of afflictions.
  • You have been able to win in God’s glory because of the wonderful way He treats your children.
