Verse of the day: Recognize, brethren, beloved of God, your choice (1 Thessaloniki 1. 4).
Many people want to know their choice even before they look at Christ; but they cannot know this way, because the choice can only be found by looking at Jesus (see Hebrews 12:2). If you want to be sure of your own choice, secure your heart before God by asking the following questions: Do you think you are a guilty and lost sinner? Then run immediately to the cross of the Lord Jesus and tell him this. Tell him you read in the scriptures: “What comes to me, I will not throw it away under any circumstances?(John 6:37); and that he himself said: “Faithful and worthy of being received is the word: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners?(1 Timothy 1:15). Look at Jesus and believe in him, to immediately prove his choice. If he has given himself completely to Christ and believed in him, he is one of God’s chosen ones.
- However.
- If you stop and say.
- “No.
- First I want to know if I’m elected.
- ” you really don’t know what you’re asking for.
- Come to Jesus as you are.
- Though you are still guilty.
- Abandon all your curiosities.
- Electoral investigation.
- Immediately come unto Christ and hide in your wounds.
- That you may know your choice.
- You will be given the assurance of the Holy Ghost.
- So that you can say.
- “I know who I believed in.
- And I am sure it is powerful to keep my deposit to this day?”(2 Timothy 1:12).
- The Lord Jesus Christ was in eternal counseling; He can tell you if you’re one of the elected officials or not.
- But you can’t know otherwise.
- Come to Jesus and put your trust in him.
- His answer will be: “With eternal love I have loved you.
- So I will come to you with mercy?”(Jeremiah 31.
- 3).
- You chose him We are children by choice of God.
- We who believe in Jesus Christ.
