Verse of the day: Simon, Simon, behold Satan has asked you to sieve like wheat, but I prayed for you that your faith will not be lacking; therefore, when you convert, strengthen your brethren (Luke 22:31-32).
Although Peter failed miserably, Jesus’ prayer kept him from being completely ruined; made him weep bitterly and was restored to the joy and boldness of Pentecost; In the same way, Jesus intercedes for us today so that our faith does not fail (Romans 8:34).
- Jesus promised that his sheep would be preserved and never perish.
- “My sheep hear my voice; I know them.
- And they follow me.
- I give you eternal life; Will they never perish and no one will take them from my hand?( John 10: 27-28).
The reason is that God will work to preserve the faith of sheep. “Whoever has begun a good work in you will finish it until the Day of Christ Jesus?”(Philippians 1. 6).
We are not left alone to fight the faith. ” Is It God who works in you both will and fulfillment, according to his goodwill?(Philippians 2:13).
You are guaranteed by the Word of God that if you are your son, he will perfect you in all good, to fulfill your will, by doing in you what he pleases, for Jesus Christ (Hebrews 13:21).
Our perseverance in faith and joy is finally and decisively in God’s hands. Yes, we have to fight. But it is this same struggle that God “operates in us”. And he certainly will, because to those he justified, to those who also glorified?(Romans 8:30 a. m. ).
You will not lose any of those you led to the faith and justified.
