The least faith
Verse of the day: So it depends not on who wants or runs, but on God’s use of His mercy (Romans 9:16).
- Let us make it clear at the beginning of the year that all we will receive from God in that year.
- As believers in Jesus.
- Is mercy.
- Whatever the pleasures or pains.
- Our way will be mercy.
Is that why Christ came into the world?(Romans 15. 9). Are we born again, according to your great mercy? (1 Peter 1. 3). Do we pray every day for mercy? (Hebrews 4:16); and now we await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, for eternal life?(Jude 1:21). If a Christian is faithful, is it because he has been given the mercy to be faithful to the Lord?(1 Corinthians 7:25).
In Luke 17:5-6, the Apostles ask the Lord, “Increase our faith. “And Jesus said, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard, ye shall say unto this dwelling: Go out and transplant into the sea; and she In other words, in Christian life and ministry, the problem is neither the strength nor the quantity of our faith, because that is not what rips the trees. God does. Therefore, the smallest faith that truly unies us with Christ will involve enough of his power for all we need.
But what about the times when you manage to obey the Lord?Does your obedience take you away from the category of asking for mercy?Jesus gives the answer in the following verses from Luke 17:7-10:
Which one of you, having a servant in the field or tending the cattle, will tell you when he will return from the field: Come now to sit at the table? And on the contrary, do not say to him, Prepare my dinner, take thy head and serve me, while I eat and drink; So you’re going to eat and drink?Do you have to thank the servant for doing what he was told? Then you too, after doing as you have been commanded, say: We are useless servants, for we have done only what I should do. ?
I therefore conclude that the most complete obedience and the least faith obtain the same from God: mercy; a simple seed of mustard of faith comes to the mercy of the power of God who moves the trees; and perfect obedience leaves us completely dependent on mercy.
The question is this: no matter when or how God’s mercy is, we never rise above the state of beneficiaries of mercy. We’re still totally dependent on what we don’t deserve.
So let us humiliate and rejoice and “glorify God by his mercy”!
