January 29th? Daily devotion CHARLES SPURGEON

Verse of the day: “Pay no attention to what is seen, but to that which is not seen” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

On our Christian pilgrimage, it is good, for most of the way, that we look to the future, our crown and our target await us. Whether to obtain hope, joy, comfort, or inspiration for our love, the future must be the great object of the eyes of faith. As we contemplate the future, we see sin taken away, the body of sin and death destroyed, the perfect soul prepared. participate in the saints’ inheritance in the light (see Colossses 1:12).

  • In addition.
  • As they contemplate the future.
  • The enlightened eyes of the believer can see the river of death as vanquished.
  • The melancholy journey left behind and the hills of light already reached.
  • In which the heavenly city is located.
  • Pearl doors.
  • Hailed as someone but a victor.
  • Crowned by the hands of Christ.
  • Received in the arms of Jesus.
  • Glorified with him.
  • Contemplating the future.
  • The believer sees himself sitting with Jesus on his throne.
  • As he won and sat on His throne.
  • To the right of his Father The thought of this future can soothe the darkness of the past and the melancholy of the present.
  • The joys of heaven will prevail over the pains of the earth.
  • This world is just a temporary home and will happen soon.
  • Time.
  • Which I cut; eternity.
  • How long! Death.
  • How brief; immortality.
  • How infinite! The road is so short! I’ll be here soon.

When the world, my heart is trapped in its strong care storm. My pleasant thoughts rise to heaven, finding refuge in this despair.

Brilliant visions of faith sustain me until the pilgrimage passes

Fears are unleashed, problems are abused, but at home, after all, the saved will come!
