January 28th? How to repent

How to repent

Verse of the Day: If we confess our sins, it is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse ourselves of all injustice. (1Jean1. 9)

  • A vague and bad feeling that you are a miserable person is not the same as a conviction of sin.
  • Feeling ruined is not the same as repenting.

That morning I began to pray and felt unworthy to speak to the Creator of the universe, it was a vague sense of indignity. So I said, what now?

Nothing changed until I began to be precise about my sins. Feelings of misery can be helpful if they lead to the conviction of sins. The vague feeling of being a bad person is not very helpful.

The fog of indignity must take the form of light and dark pillars of disobedience so that you can designate them, repent, ask forgiveness, and seek to destroy them.

Then I began to remember the commandments I frequently violated; these are the ones that come to mind.

So far all the pretensions of great holiness! I’m lost

But now it’s specific. I look into my eyes, I don’t complain about feeling bad. I apologize to Christ for not respecting everything he ordered.

I am broken and angry about my sin. I want to kill you, not me. I’m not suicidal, I’m a hater and a sin killer (?Therefore, make your earthly nature die ?, Colosss us 3. 5;? It mortifies the actions of the body ?, Romans 8. 13).

In this conflict I hear the promise: “If we confess our sins, is it faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse ourselves of all injustice?(1 John 1. 9). Peace comes.

Prayer is once again possible, correct, and powerful
