Verse of the day 😕 Perfect in Christ. ? (Colosssenses 1:28)
In your soul, do you feel like you lack perfection?The tears that flow from your eyes cry imperfection. Every sigh that springs from your heart whispers an imperfection. Every rude word that comes out of your lips growls an imperfection. Too often you have seen in your heart confirmation that you cannot dream of a moment of perfection within you. But in the midst of this sad awareness of his imperfection, is there any word of comfort?you are perfect in Christ (see Colossses 2:10). In God’s eyes, you are complete in Him. Right now, you’re accepted into the Beloved.

- There is a second perfection.
- Yet to be achieved.
- Which is promised to all descendants.
- Isn’t it nice to wait until the moment when every vestige of sin is removed from the believer and presented blamelessly before the throne of God.
- Without spot.
- Wrinkle.
- Or anything like that (see Ephesians 5:27)? At that time the Church will be so pure that not even the eyes of Omniscience will see stain or guilt in its members.
- It will be so holy and glorious that Hart would have stated nothing but the truth when he said.
- “In the garments of my Savior.
- I will be holy as the Holy One.
- ” And we will know and experience the happiness expressed in that small but profound phrase: complete in Christ.
- Until then.
- We will not fully understand the dimensions of salvation in Christ.
- Doesn’t your heart leap with joy at the thought? Even as dirty as you are now.
- You will be clean.
- Oh what a wonderful greeting! Christ turns a worm into an angel; He takes a dirty and twisted thing and turns it into something clean and incomparable in glory.
- Incomparable in beauty and ready to live in the company of angels.
- O my soul.
- Arise and admire this blessed truth of perfection in Christ.
