Go straight to God
Verse of the day: on that day, you will ask in my name; and I do not tell you that I will pray to the Father for you, because the Father himself loves you, because you love me and believe that I come from God (John 16:26-27).
Don’t make the Son of God a mediator beyond what he is
Jesus said, “I am not telling you that I will pray to the Father for you. “In other words, I will not stand between you and the Father, as if you could not go directly to him. Why?” For the Father himself loves you. “
That’s amazing. Jesus warns us not to think that God the Almighty does not want to receive us directly in His presence. Directly? I mean what Jesus meant when He said, “I will not take your requests to God for you. You can accept them directly. He loves them. He wants you to come. Isn’t he mad at you?”
It is absolutely true that no sinful human being has access to the Father but through the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19-20). She intercedes for us now (Romans 8. 34; Hebrews 7:25). He is our counsel before the Father now (1 John 2. 1). He is our High Priest before the throne of God now (Hebrews 4:15-16). He said, “No one comes to the Father just for me? (John 14:6).
Yes, but Jesus protects us from considering his intercession beyond the limit. “And I’m not telling you that I’m going to pray to the Father for you. Why does the Father himself love you? There he is. He bears a constant and eternal witness to the removal of the Father’s wrath upon us.
However, he is not there to speak for us, nor to distance us from the Father, nor to suggest that the Father’s heart has reservations for us or despises us; hence the words: “For the Father himself loves you. “
Then let’s go. Come boldly (Hebrews 4:16). Come and wait. Wait for a smile. Come and tremble with joy, not terror.
Jesus said, “I have charted a way for God, now, am I not going to be ashamed? Will.
