The battle to remember
Verse of the day: I want to remember what can give me hope, the Lord’s mercy is the cause of not being consummated, because his mercy is infinite (Lamentations 3. 21-22).
- One of the great enemies of hope is to forget God’s promises.
- Remembering is a great ministry.
- Peter and Paul wrote for this reason (2Pedro 1:13; Romans 15.
- 15).
The main reminder is the Holy Ghost (John 14:26). However, don’t be passive, you’re only responsible for your own memory ministry, and the first thing to remember is yourself.
The mind has this great power: it can speak to itself through remembrance. The mind can “bring back to memory. ” Like what:?I want to remember what can give me hope?(Lamentations 3. 21-22).
If not, remember what God said about himself and us, we will weaken. Oh, I know from painful experience! Don’t wobble in the mud of ungodly messages, I mean the messages in your own head. I can’t ??. . She won’t do it”? They never ??. It never worked. “
The question is not whether those thoughts are true or false. Your mind will always find a way to make them true, unless you turn it back to something bigger. God is the God of the impossible. Reasoning to get out of an impossible situation is not as effective as remembering how you are doing.
Without remembering the greatness, grace, power, and wisdom of God, we plunge into pessimism. “I was numb and ignorant; was it like an irrationality of your presence? (Psalm 73. 22).
The great shift from despair to hope in Psalm 77 comes with these words: “I remember the lord’s actions, for I remember your wonders of antiquity. Do I also consider in your works all and your wonders?(Psalm 77. 11-12).
This is the great battle of my life. I guess it’s yours too. The battle to remember! Me, then the others.
