Verse of the day: I can do anything that strengthens me (Philippians 4. 13).
The divine disposition of future grace for day-to-day life allows Paul to have abundance or hunger, prosper or suffer, have abundance or rarity.
- ? Can I really mean “everything”.
- Not just easy things.
- This means that “because of Christ.
- I can be hungry.
- Suffering and needy.
- ” This puts the wonderful promise of verse 19 in its righteous light: “And my God.
- According to his riches in glory.
- Will provide.
- In Christ Jesus.
- For your every need.
- “.
What does “each of your needs” mean in the light of Philippians 4:19?It means “everything you need for the contentment that glorifies God. “Paul’s love for the Philippians came from his contentment in God, and his contentment came from his faith in the future grace of God’s infallible provision.
It is therefore obvious that greed is the exact opposite of faith; is the loss of contentment in Christ, so we begin to want other things to satisfy the desires of our hearts; and there is no doubt that the fight against greed is a struggle against disbelief and a struggle for faith in future grace.
Whenever we notice the slightest increase in greed in our hearts, we must return and fight with all our might using the weapons of faith.
