Verse of the day: follow peace with all and sanctification, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
There is a practical holiness without which we will not see the Lord. Many live as if they weren’t.
- There are nominal Christians who live so profane that they will hear the terrible words of Jesus: “I have never known you.
- Are you who practice wickedness away from me?”(Matthew 7.
- 23).
- Paul said to professing believers.
- “If you live according to the flesh.
- Do you walk toward death?(Romans 8.
- 13).
Therefore, there is a holiness without which no one will see the Lord, and learning to fight for holiness through faith in future grace is extremely important.
There is another way to seek holiness that frustrates and leads to death. The Apostles warn us that we should not serve God through faith in His enabling grace.
For example, Peter says, “If someone serves, do it with the strength that God provides, that in all things God may be glorified by Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 4:11). And Paul said, “Why shouldn’t I, dare you speak of anything other than that which Christ has done through me?(Romans 15:18; see also 1 Corinthians 15:10).
Moment after moment, is it given the grace to allow us to do?All good work? May God assign us. ” God can make you abound in all grace, so that, always having, in everything, enough, abound in all good deeds?(2 Corinthians 9: 8).
The struggle for good deeds is a struggle to believe in this future grace.
