A shepherd must stay more than 5 years to discover the sweetness of earning the love of those who were previously hostile to him. Every pastor thinks he needs everyone to receive him immediately in his ministry, and he thinks that the members of the church are exactly but I have learned that having hostile members towards you, who do not receive you, and who make you seek them with love, give you a sweeter and more fulfilling relationship when you conquer them. I have incredibly supportive people in our church now, but the relationships that are most meaningful to me are the ones I struggled with in the early years, struggled to love in every way, so we grew up and learned to love each other.
To be greeted every Sunday with the smile, the hug and the warmth of the man who, in the fifth year of my pastorate, led the charge to try to escape from me is difficult to describe and still motivates me. grace every time we see each other, which I do not feel when I am greeted by my greatest followers who have always been with me and on my behalf. If I had left before the age of five, which I almost did, I would have missed one of the greatest joys I often experience today as a pastor, almost 13 years later.
- Pastors.
- Stay there.
- Stand your ground.
- There are rewards waiting for you on the other side.
- If you can hold on and move on.
- And remember.
- The Great Shepherd knows his struggles and stays with you.
