I am deeply grateful to the person who sent the question and was honest about his same-sex attraction, and I appreciate that he embraced the biblical truth that materializing this attraction in homosexual practices would be a sin. Therefore, as he says, he struggles to be true to that belief. It is a great thing, noble and pleasing to God, this struggle.

- Marriage is a possible way to govern our sexual passions But there are two things to remember.

First, marriage is not a foolproof solution to a man’s passions, we know this from adultery and the use of pornography among married men. your passions, marriage is not the solution.
Here’s the other thing to remember: Paul explicitly addresses men who are attracted to the same sex and how they should handle their passions. This is in Chapter 6. We often read this passage only to establish that homosexual behavior is a sin, and we do. I do not see the glory of the help that exists in this text. So let me read 1 Corinthians 6. 9-10 :?Or don’t you know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God?, will I inherit the kingdom of God? In other words, if you say, “I am an avid person, so I was born, and will I accept greed as a good thing?” you will perish. Here is considered the particular sin. Are these examples of sins that, if you love them, worship them, persecute them and live there, destroy you?homosexuality or fornication.
Now here’s the next verse. This is the crucial question: “Were any of you like that?You practiced homosexuality? But you have been washed, but you have been sanctified, but you have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. (1C 6. 11). These words are extremely important to those who struggle with same-sex attraction and intend to be pure and holy in their lives. You practiced homosexuality. You were gay and you’re not. What happened? You have embraced the name of Jesus as the standard of your life. You subdued yourself to him and put your faith in him, and his blood cleansed you of all sins. You’re washed. You’re declared fair. You’re sanctified. And then Paul specifically says that this powerful and sanctifying influence comes from the Spirit of our God, so here is the key to daily practice: power is the Holy Spirit.
First, you know that you have been accepted, declared forgiven, purified, just, and pure; then, day after day, trust in God’s promise to help him. Through this promise, the Holy Ghost comes with power and helps him resist temptation. you mortify the works of the body, as Romans 8. 13 says, by the Spirit: trust in the Spirit, invoke the Spirit, live in the Spirit. It’s not in you, it’s there. God grants you the Spirit, as Galatians 3. 5 says. God grants the Spirit to perform these miracles through faith. You listen to the promise, you listen to the promise of the gospel and you believe in it, you cling to it, and in that promise and in that faith comes the Holy Spirit, comes to fulfill the promise of God’s presence, God’s help. and God’s most precious rewards to you, like the power of temptation you face, so you can kill him.
Do not assume that marriage cannot be God’s call for your life. I’m talking to someone who’s attracted to the same sex. Until marriage to the opposite sex is your call, use Christ’s precious work to secure all promises and provide the power of the Holy Ghost to help you live a pure and useful life without sexual sin.
