“I know what it’s like to be in need and I know what it’s like to have a lot. I’ve learned the secret of living happily in all situations, whether they’re well fed, hungry, very much, or need it. Anything for the One who strengthens me? Philippians 4. 13
Is it possible to find satisfaction at 40? For many, it is very difficult because of all the circumstances that brought this time How then do we find the contentment?
- When Pablo writes: “I learned the secret of living the content in all situations.
- ? This speaks of an acceptance of your current situation in life.
- ” To be dissatisfied would mean that Paul wanted to be somewhere other than where the sovereign hand of God placed him.
- And have more than the sovereign hand of God wanted to give him.
Therefore, to be satisfied is to have a peaceful submission from the place where God has placed him providentially and the resources He has made available to him. Being satisfied with the situation means that Paul was at peace in Christ’s sufficiency, in the providence of Christ in his life.
Are you a person satisfied with the situation you are in?I’m not saying I can’t change, as Paulo will say, none and all the circumstances, big or soon.
Some verses before Paul said
“Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer, supplications, and thanksgiving, submit your requests to God. Philippians 4. 6
Do you realize that discontent is also related to anxiety, because the disused person is not satisfied where he is, with the resources at his disposal, and wants a change.
You may want your situation to change (we all do), so put your concerns, your demands before God, but at the same time, be grateful to Him for everything He has done for you, including where we are and resources. It gives us.
And remember
As long as Christ is not our joy and we do not understand that it is enough for us, and our strength in the position in which we find ourselves today, we are left with only sadness and discontent.
God bless your life!
