How often do we find ourselves dealing with the usual sin, momentarily being defeated, and running to the throne of God’s grace to ask for mercy?
One thing we must understand about sovereign grace is that if God in his sovereignty and goodness had not regenerated our hearts, we would never ask for mercy; if, therefore, according to his goodwill, he has already done so of his own free will, surely he will also do so by acting (Phil 2:13); and if the good deed has begun, will it surely end?(Phil 1:6), therefore, is not a man to lie, nor a son of a man to repent. Do you talk and stop acting? (Numbers 23:19).
- “Then do we approach the throne of grace with confidence.
- To receive mercy and find the grace that will help us when necessary?(He 4.
- 16).
- He gives us a greater grace.
- That is why Scripture says.
- “God opposes the proud.
- But he gives thanks to the humble.
- “Therefore.
- Feed god.
- Resist the devil.
- And he will flee from you.
- Come to God and he’ll come near you.
- Sinners.
- Clean your hands and you who have a divided mind.
- Clean your heart.
- He saddens.
- Cries and cries.
- He trades laughter for lament and joy for sadness.
- Humble yourself before the Lord.
- And he will exalt you (Jacq 4:6-10).
So let us have this trust, because, yes, is it powerful to prevent us from falling and to present ourselves to its immaculate glory and with great joy?(Thu 24).
