Verse of the day: That is why God has exalted him so much and given him the name that is above all name, so that the name of Jesus may bend all the knees, in heaven, on earth and under the earth, and every tongue may confess. that Jesus Christ is the Lord for the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11)
Christmas was the most successful adversity of God, who has always been happy to show his power with an apparent defeat, makes tactical setbacks for strategic victories.
- Joseph was promised glory and power in his dream (Genesis 37:5-11).
- But to obtain this victory.
- He had to become a slave in Egypt and.
- As if that were not enough.
- When his conditions improved because of his integrity.
- He was made worse than a slave: a prisoner.
However, everything was planned. For Joseph found Pharaoh’s cupboard in prison, who eventually took him to Pharaoh, who put him in Egypt. What an unlikely path to glory!
But this is God’s way, even for his Son: he stripped himself and took the form of a servant. Worse than a servant, a prisoner, and he was executed. But, like Joseph, he maintained his integrity. “Therefore, God also exalted him extremely and gave him the name that is above all name, so that the name of Jesus bends all knees (Philippians 2:9-10).
And this is God’s way for us too. Are we promised glory? If we suffer with him (Romans 8. 17). The climb is down, the way forward is back. The road to success passes through divinely appointed adversities, which will always be considered and felt as failure.
But if Joseph and Jesus teach us something this Christmas, did God do it right?(Genesis 50. 20).
You feared saints, relive your spirits. The clouds you fear so much are full of mercy and will break by pouring blessings upon your heads [1].
