Verse of the day: When, however, what separated me before I was born and called me by his grace?(Galatians 1. 15)
Think of Paul’s conversion, Christ’s sovereignty, and the relationship between Paul’s sins and his salvation.
- Paul said.
- God separated me before I was born.
- And then.
- On the way to Damascus.
- Did He call me by his grace?(Galatians 1.
- 15).
- This means that between Paul’s birth and his call on the way to Damascus.
- He was an instrument of God already chosen.
- But not yet called (Acts 9.
- 15; 22.
- 14).
This indicates that Paul struck, imprisoned, and murdered Christians as a God-chosen missionary, who would soon become a Christian.
And it came to pass that, going on my way and already near Damascus, almost at noon, suddenly a great light of heaven shone around me. Then I fell to the ground, hearing a voice saying, Saul, Saul, why are you chasing me?(Acts 22: 6-7).
It was impossible to deny it or run away. God had chosen him for this before he was born. And now God would take it for himself. The word of Christ was sovereign. There was no negotiation.
Stand up, enter Damascus, for there they will tell you everything they command you (Acts 22,10).
Damascus was not the final free will of Paul who surrendered to Christ after decades of vain divine efforts to save him; God had time to choose him (before his birth) and a time to call him (on the way to Damascus). gave way when God called.
Therefore, the sins that God allowed between Paul’s birth and his calling were part of the plan, for God could have acted earlier as He did in Damascus.
Do we have any idea what the plan for these sins should have been?Yes, have they been authorized by you and me? For all those who fear having sinned to the point of being excluded from grace. Here’s how Paul tells you about his sins::
“To me, who was once blasphemous, persecuting, and insolent, but have I had mercy? That is why mercy has been granted to me, so that in me the essentials of Jesus Christ may have expressed its total longing. life, and that can serve as a model for all who believe in it for eternal life (1 Timothy 1:13, 16).
O may God’s designs be sweet to the sovereign salvation of the cobbled sinners!
