There’s a real problem, a real discouragement and very hard work accompanying motherhood Isn’t it easy to be a mother?it’s like saying “chocolate is delicious. ” It’s obvious. Just watch a nine-month-old pregnant mother try to get out of the car without forcing any muscle. Just listen to a mother share the pain of her heart for the child she is waiting to adopt, or ask a mother to tell her her prayer requests. . Being a mother isn’t easy.
But sometimes mothers think their hands are occupied by inconvenience, ungrateful work and futility. Keeping the prospect that God has blessed you abundantly is a very real struggle. The struggle for faith cannot be fought with the whimsical idea that you only need to see that. ‘The glass is half full. The struggle for faith must be carried out with sensitivity and grace, and always subject to the infallible Word and authority of God.
- I know that struggles.
- Disappointments and pain are important problems in motherhood.
- That is why it is with all the seriousness and sincerity that I remember what the Apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 1.
- 3-5: I was born again to live hope through the resurrection of Christ.
- And I have an incorruptible.
- Immaculate and unwavering legacy.
- Reserved in heaven for me.
- Although my life is full of triumphant.
- Unknown and hopeful anxieties and victories.
- I am guarded by the power of God by faith.
- That salvation may be revealed.
- In the future.
- Preaching the gospel to me every day is the best way to remember that my life in Christ is the main and permanent reality of my life.
- The interior of the Holy Spirit comforts my soul with the truths of God’s Word.
When Jesus saved me from hell, He also saved me for himself. He saved me an eternity from the righteous punishment I deserve and I had life forever with my Savior. Did he take this full cup to the brink with God’s wrath against sin?And I drank every last drop. That is why he did not return me an empty cup (which in itself would have been an ineffable mercy). The Bible says that my cup is not only half full, in Jesus, our cup is filled with God’s blessings (Salt 23:5). .
I know I may not free myself from the next full layer flowing across the floor of my car while I am stuck in traffic with crying children who just want to go outside to play, but because of the gospel I am free to have to answer these trouble the way my sinful flesh would like? Grace strengthens me because I have received righteousness from Jesus Christ when, in fact, I react in a sinful way. Fulfill his promises to me as I become like Christ and draw closer to myself. These are just a few of the ways the gospel can be seen in a mother’s daily life.
How does the gospel of Jesus Christ have a significant impact on your life when your current reality seems to be absorbed by worldly things, such as urination accidents or vomiting and tantrums in the supermarket?
Anyone can advise you on how to handle these practical and tangible things. For example, someone might suggest that you buy a raincoat and wear it until your children are in sixth grade. To soothe your tantrums in public, you can go to a dressing room or bathroom and have a particular rage. Did you think I was talking about your son’s anger at the supermarket?Well, it’s something completely different!
Even if your first child was just conceived in your womb or has recently been approved for adoption, you can already taste God’s goodness toward you in motherhood.
When I see motherhood not as a gift from God to sanctify me, but as a function with tasks that bother me, I do not see one of the means of spiritual growth ordained by God in my life. Not only that, but I fail. To enjoy God. No mother’s anguish can be compared to the misery that comes from a life devoid of the comforting, encouraging, protective, supportive and rewarding presence of our holy God.
I want for me what Paul desired for his fellow Philippians: “What thou hast also learned, received, heard, and seen in me, do this; And the God of peace will be with you?(Fp 4. 9). I want God’s peace to reign over my motherhood.
I want for me what the author of Hebrews wanted for his readers: “Have I followed peace with all and sanctification, without which no one will see the Lord?(He 12:14). Do I want to live every day as I was saved by Christ?that is, through grace through faith. I need to return the old man, be renewed in the spirit of my understanding, and coat the new created in the likeness of God, with true righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:20-24). John Owen commented on the role of the gospel in this research: What is holiness?Holiness is but the implantation, writing, and life of the gospel in our souls (Ephesians 4:24).
This life of faith imbued with grace would do wonders in the way I raise my children, of course, but it also keeps my gaze fixed on God. It can be said that the most loving commandment in the Bible is this:
You, Zion, who announces good news, climbs a high mountain! You who announce good news in Jerusalem, raise your voice loudly, do not be afraid, and say to the cities of Judah: This is your God!(Is 40. 9)
I want to be counted among those who will “see the Lord. “I want to contemplate my God!
