Verse of the day: For if we, as enemies, were reconciled with God by the death of His Son, much more, being already reconciled, we will be saved by His life; and not only that, but we also glorify ourselves in God by our Lord Jesus Christ, for whom we now receive reconciliation (Romans 5:10-11).
How do we receive reconciliation and rejoice in God in a practical way?One answer is to do it through Jesucristo. Al least partly, does that mean making the account of Jesus in the Bible?The work and words of Jesus described in the New Testament?The essential content of his joy in God. Christ’s unconscious joy does not honor Christ.
- In 2 Corinthians 4: 4-6.
- Paul describes conversion in two ways: in verse 4.
- He says that conversion is about seeing “the glory of Christ.
- Which is the image of God”; and in verse 6.
- He says that it is to see “the glory of God before Christ.
- “In both cases.
- You realize the essence.
- We have Christ.
- The image of God.
- And we have God facing Christ.
In a practical way, to rejoice in God, he rejoices in what he sees and knows of God in the description of Jesus Christ, and this joy reaches its fullness when God’s love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, as Romans say 5. 5.
So here is the essence of Christmas: God not only bought our reconciliation through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ (verse 10), and God not only allowed us to receive this reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ (verse 11), but even now, verse 11 says that we rejoice in God Himself for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus bought our reconciliation. Jesus allowed us to receive reconciliation and open the present. And Jesus Himself shines in the package of the indescribable gift, as God incarnate, and awakens all our joy in God.
Look at Jesus this Christmas, don’t put the gift on the shelf without opening it, don’t open it and don’t use it as a means for all your other pleasures.
Open the gift and enjoy it. Rejoice in it. Make it your pleasure, make it your treasure.
