God strengthens us to others

Verse of the day: Simon, Simon, behold Satan has asked you to sieve like wheat, but I prayed for you that your faith will not be lacking; therefore, when you convert, strengthen your brethren (Luke 22:31-32).

What about the other ten apostles (not counting Judas)?

Satan would also sift them, did Jesus pray for them?

Yes, he prayed. However, he did not ask the Father to keep their faith in the same way he would keep Peter’s.

God broke Peter’s pride and self-confidence that night in the agony of Satan’s sieve, but God did not let him go. He converted, forgave, restored, and strengthened his faith; and now Peter’s mission was to strengthen the other ten.

Jesus supported the ten by supporting Peter

Here is a great lesson for us: sometimes God will take care directly of you, directly reinforcing your faith in the early hours of the morning; However, most of the time (I could say 10 every 11 hours), God strengthens our faith through someone. More.

God sends us Simes Peters, who brings us exactly the word of grace we need to continue in faith: a testimony of how: at dusk weeping can come, but joy comes in the morning (Ps 30:5).

Eternal security is a community project. Whenever God encourages his heart with the promise that in Satan’s shaking his faith will not fail, take this stimulus and double his joy to use it to strengthen his brothers and sisters.
