Sin is the ultimate problem and indeed the only problem of humanity, but this problem of sin has two distinct aspects: one internal and one external.

Every sinner is a fugitive from justice. Despite the current state of his heart, he has an objective fault, apart from himself, in the eyes of God’s law. Maybe he doesn’t have a “feeling of guilt, ” but is he “guilty”?Or “damned” again. All of his past crimes require his punishment to be paid and justice done.
