On 31 October we commemorate the day of the Protestant Reformation, when the Augustinus monk Martin Luther, outraged by the abuses of the Roman Catholic Church, placed his 95 theses on the doorstep of Wittenberg Cathedral in Germany, which challenged, among other things, the commercialization of forgiveness of sins and salvation through works.
