In this new edition of the magazine Fé para Hoje, launched after the faithful leadership course in 2013, we will work on the four main pillars of systematic theology: creation, fall, redemption and perfect fullness.
These topics summarize the grand outline of theology and aim to help the scholar understand God’s plan and actions in human history, as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.
- In this diagram we see how God has deigned to reveal himself to man.
- Make himself known.
- And reveal his project for humanity.
In creation, we see the Trinitarian God almighty, transcendent, self-existing, self-sufficient, eternal, holy, and perfect in all its attributes, creating all the things that exist, from the farthest and most distant galaxies to earth and everything. What’s in there. We see the creation of man imago Dei, according to the image of God Himself, in a state of innocence and freedom, under the moral government of God, ordained to be responsible and obedient and to rule over all things created, for glory. creator.
In the fall, we see man transgress God’s law and turn away from it, fall from his state of innocence and happiness, and beseal humanity for this condition of condemnation, imprison his freedom at the inclinations of sin, being both responsible for him as a victim. We see the effect of the fall on creation, bringing a curse to this world and leading to the great tragedy of human history.
In redemption, do we still see that God has decided to offer salvation to man?And he made his righteousness, offended by the transgression of the law caused by man’s sin, satisfied. In love, since eternal times, God the Father has resolved to save sinners in his Son, Jesus Christ, who, being one with God the Father, entered history, assumed human nature and lived as a man, obeying the whole law and fulfilling all the righteousness of God the Father, to the point of offering himself in sacrifice and propitiation to God for men , justifying sinners who approach him, encouraged by the action of the Spirit of God who regenerates them, in repentance and in faith, reconciled with God and adopted in your family.
Finally let us see the consumption of all things, how the Christian prepares in this life for the next; be sanctified and persevering in your pilgrimage We see what happens after man’s death, whether just or unjust, about heaven and hell, the final judgment, the resurrection of the flesh, and the final and definitive redemption of creation: new heavens and a new earth?all these things acting in accordance with God’s designs and decrees and for his glory.
In the selection of articles from this edition, we are invited to reflect on these great themes and to consider the great love and glory of the God of the Trinity. Bless your reading.
