But the Christian home has both a method and a purpose in God’s revealed Word. Consider the simple form of Ephesians 6. 1?4:
- Children.
- Obey your parents in the Lord.
- For this is just; honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise).
- So that everything will do well for you and have a long life on earth.
- Do not provoke the wrath of your children.
- But raise them in the discipline and warnings of the Lord?.

From the child’s point of view, no other arrangement in life is as appropriate as the house to pursue discipleship, requires no change, costs nothing and you will never have another teacher so committed to your success. . Simply growing up in the house of a Christian disciple, if you can learn something, you will certainly learn loyalty, respect, submission, and service to the Lord.
