There are more than five important points for the discipleship of Jesus Christ, but the ones I am quoting here are the ones that make one person’s soul teach the soul of another.
Therefore, go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to keep everything I told them to do. and behold, I am with you every day until the end of the century. Matthew 28. 19-20
- The person who wants to teach another to be a disciple of Jesus Christ must have a convinced willingness in his life that he is serving his Lord and Savior and that investing his life in another life is a precious gift in which the Holy Ghost gives us your wonderful grace.
He’ll get you out of bed early to pray for the new sheep. God will make you sacrifice time. This will give you power to connect when making concessions.
Will counts because it’s the dynamo that will push you forward even when you can’t see the result of your discipleship.
This is the part where you open your personal agenda to provide an important space for a special encounter with the person you want to see modeled in the image of Jesus Christ. Then, rain or not, be happy or sad, this day and this hour is dedicated to this meeting with the person assigned to you by the Lord to occupy you. So do it with zeal. The person who is learning to become a Christian cannot wait to see his life transformed, and you are the instrument that God uses to make it happen.
Love is the essence of everything. God is love. It’s for love that you make the disciple someone. First, you are loved by the Lord Himself, and because He loved you and died in your place, you can love Him and live for Him. Now you want others to love you, follow you and be like him. Thus, God gives birth in your heart love for one’s neighbour, and that love is the engine of discipleship. Love is not that pink feeling that evokes strong emotions and deep sighs. Love is sacrifice, dedication, action and sweating. It’s love that spins the wheel of discipleship. Without love, we are nothing, nor will we be.
No one has a greater love than this: giving someone their own life for their friends (John 15:13).
You can walk with a church sister, go home, eat at your table, meet your family, your relationships, talk to them about theology and doctrine, talk about what Christian life should look like, but none of this is disciplined. there is no intention of making this person a disciple of Jesus Christ. Oh, I don’t get it?! Education, correction, education, exhortation must have the explicit purpose of making someone disciple of Jesus Christ, there must be an alliance, a commitment from both sides, a seal, there is no disciple, there is only one conversation without purpose.
This is the part where we must forgive seventy times seven. Our sins, in general, turn to those closest to them, and also as disciples. Those who make disciples will be the objective of the apprentice. in coexistence, proximity and coexistence between disciple and disciple. So have mercy on the forgiven as Jesus forgave us.
To conclude on these points, I would like to remind you that in all that we do it is the Lord who gives us grace, and as a disciple he does it clearly and abundantly, do not hesitate to practice what the Lord commands us to do, because he himself will support us, as he has already promised, every day of our lives.
