Verse of the day: don’t be afraid of bad news; your heart is firm, trusting in the Lord (Psalm 112. 7)
Suspense is a terrible thing. When we do not listen to family members, we express our willingness to be anxious and cannot be persuaded that “lack of news can mean good news. “Faith is the antidote to this condition of sadness. The Holy Spirit puts our minds in a state of holy serenity and eliminates all fears related to the future as well as to the present.
- The firmness of heart spoken of by the Psalmist in this verse should be diligently sought.
- This firmness of heart does not mean believing in this or that promise of the Lord; such firmness amounts to the general condition of unwavering trust in our God.
- The confidence that He will not harm us or allow anyone to sadden us.
- This constant trust meets everything we know and don’t know.
- Our lives.
- Tomorrow can bring us whatever you want.
- Our God is the God of tomorrow.
- We do not care about things that have happened and are unknown to us.
- Our Lord is the God of unknown things as well as known things.
- We are determined to believe in the Lord.
- No matter what happens.
- If the worst happens to us.
- Our God remains the greatest and the best.
- So we will not be afraid.
- Even if the recent news alarms us and we are awake at midnight because of something terrible.
- The Lord lives.
- What can your children fear?.
