February 15th? He remembers

Verse of the day: The Lord remembered us; He will bless us (Psalm 115. 12).

I can authenticate the first statement in this verse. It’s you? Yes, the Lord thought of us; He freed us, guided us, and met our needs. In the movements of his providence, the Lord remembered us, never forgetting our most insignificant affairs. His mind was full of thoughts about us; it’s another way of saying he “remembered” us. The Lord acted like this all the time, without the slightest interruption, yet it was only on special occasions that we perceive this divine memory more clearly and now remember it with expressive gratitude, yes, the Lord remembered us.

  • The second sentence of the verse is a logical implication of the first: since God is immutable.
  • He will continue to remind us in the future.
  • As He did in the past.
  • And His memory is a blessing to us.
  • But in the second part of the verse we have not only the conclusion.
  • But the statement that results from the inspiration of the Holy Ghost: “WE BLESS Him”.
  • It means big.
  • Unsygable things.
  • The same lack of definition of promise indicates its infinite scope.
  • He will bless us according to his divine way of acting.
  • For ever and ever.
  • So let’s all say.
  • “Bless.
  • My soul.
  • The Lord?”(Salt 103.
  • 2).
