Verse of the day: Blessed art thou on earth. (Deuteronomy 28. 3)
Isaac was blessed when, at dusk, he went out into the field to meditate. How many times did the Lord find us when we were alone!Trees and fields can bear witness to our joy. Let’s hope again for this happiness.
- Boaz was also blessed as he gathered.
- And his employees.
- As they found him.
- Greeted him with a blessing: Make the Lord prosper for all who work in the field!Every farmer can implore this promise of God.
- If he truly obeys his voice.
We are going to work in the fields, just like Adam, our father, and since the curse has fallen on the earth due to the sin of the first Adam, it is a great comfort to find a blessing that passes through the second Adam. .
We went out to the country to exercise; and we rejoice in the certainty that the Lord will bless this exercise and give us health, which we will use for its glory.
We’re going to the countryside to contemplate nature. And there is nothing in our knowledge of all visible creation that cannot be sanctified for noble use, by God’s blessing.
Finally, we’re going to the country to bury our dead. Yes, others, when the time comes, will take us to the grave on the ground. But we are blessed, whether we cry in the grave or sleep there.
