February 10th? Saving religion is easily satisfied

Saving faith is not easily satisfied

Verse of the day: And if, in fact, they remembered the one from which they departed, they would have the opportunity to return; but now they yearn for a higher homeland, that is, heavenly (Hebrews 11:15-16).

Faith sees the promised future that God offers and “wants. “Let’s ponder this for a moment.

There are many people who degrade what is the saving faith, turning it into a simple decision without changing what someone wants and seeks, but the essence of this text is that living and dying for faith means having new desires and seeking new satisfactions.

Verse 14 says that the Saints of the past (praised for their faith in Hebrews 11) sought another type of homeland, rather than what this world offered; and verse 16 above says that they wanted something better than today’s mortal existence could offer. Offer.

They had been so conquered by God that nothing less than heaven could satisfy them.

So it is true faith that saves: see God’s promises from a distance and experience a change in values, in a way that desires and seeks the above promises rather than what the world has to offer.
