Examples to combat discouragement

Verse of the day: Although my flesh and heart fail, God is the strength of my heart and my inheritance forever (Psalm 73. 26).

Literally, the verb is simply fainting: “Even if my flesh and heart are weak!”I’m discouraged! But then he immediately fires a weapon for his discouragement: “God is the strength of my heart and my inheritance forever. “

The Psalmist doesn’t give up. Fight against disbelief with a counterattack.

Basically, what it says is this: “In me, I feel very weak, helpless and unable to react. My body is wounded and my heart is almost dead. But whatever the reason for this discouragement, I will not give up. I’ll trust you. ” God and not me, is that my strength and my legacy?

The Bible is full of examples of saints struggling with depressive minds. Psalm 19. 7 says, “Is the law of the Lord perfect and revives the soul?(Literal translation). It is a clear admission that the soul of the saint sometimes needs to be and if it needs to be revived, in a sense it was “dead”.

David says the same thing in Psalm 23: 2-3: “Take me to the waters of rest; Is my soul cool? The soul of the “man according to the heart of God?”(1 Samuel 13:14) had died of thirst and was about to fall exhausted, but God took his soul into the water and gave him life again.

God placed these testimonies in the Bible so that we could use them in the fight against disbelief and discouragement.
