Title 2 describes the vibrant life of the covenant, where the pastor teaches sound doctrine and one generation disciplines the next; and sometimes discipleship is gender-specific:?As for older women, . . . be good teachers to educate young women?(v. 3-4).
Women teach what is good, reinforcing the good doctrine taught in our chairs. We train ourselves by showing how a strong doctrine informs and transforms our attitudes and actions. Paulo practiced this dynamic of informational/relational discipleship. ” We become loving among you, who loves to caress your children; . . . Were we willing to offer you not only the gospel of God, but also life itself?he wrote to the the thessalonikis (1Q 2,7?8).
- Women are spiritual mothers of women.
- Sharing the gospel and our lives by encouraging and equipping them to live for the glory of God.
- This is so important in the life of the church that when God sent His Son into the world.
- He provided an eldest son.
- Woman as a disciple of the young woman chosen to be the mother of the Messiah Elizabeth and Mary interpret the discipleship of Titus 2.
When Elizabeth became pregnant, she said, “Did the Lord, looking at me, stifle my reproach before men?”(Lk 1:25), echoing Anne’s prayer: “Lord of armies, if you pay much attention to the affliction of your servant. . ” (1Sm 1. 11).
After the angel’s announcement to Mary, right? At the young Isabel. La’s house he left; the older woman welcomed him.
“Elizabeth was possessed of the Holy Spirit. ” (Lc 1. 41). God allows us to be and make disciples.
“Blessed is he who believed . the words you have been told about being part of the Lord?(V. 45). Elizabeth teaches Mary that bliss comes from obedience to the Word of God. “
While Mary helps Elizabeth in everyday tasks, while they talk about being a wife and mother, it is not difficult to imagine Elizabeth often saying admiringly:?Mary, Jehovah looked at me . . . Jehovah looked at me . . . takes away my shame? And when Mary sings, there is a beautiful connection with her spiritual mother: “My soul magnifies the Lord. Why have you contemplated the humility of your servant?(Vv. 46?47).
Mary left Elizabeth’s house ready to glorify God, even on the cross when the Father turned his Son’s eyes away, because he was covered by his sins and ours, so that we could live with Deo before the face of God because of his glory. Can we keep telling the story, he looked at me. God calls us to be disciples who make disciples. The continuity of the alliance is compelling. So that the word of God is not defamed? (Tt 2. 5).
