[DEVOTIONAL] Helping believers to have the security of salvation

Helping believers to have the security of salvation

Believers are called to fight for their own security of salvation and to help others fight for this security. God wants us to be sure that we are already saved and that we have bold confidence in the face of opposition and threats. I wrote these things to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, to you who believe in the name of the Son of God?(1 Jn 5:13). What can we say to one another to help us maintain the security of salvation? Here’s what I’d say:

1. Full security is God’s will

However, we want each of you to continue to show, to the end, the same diligence for the full certainty of hope (Heb. 6:11).

2. La security is partially based on objective evidence of Christian truth.

They too, after suffering, appeared alive, with many undisputed trials, appearing to them for forty days and telling them things concerning the kingdom of God (Acts 1. 3).

3. Security cannot neglect the painful work of self-analysis

Consider yourself if you are truly in faith; Try yourself. Or don’t you recognize that Jesus Christ is in you? Otherwise, you already fail (2:13. 5).

4. La diminishes in the presence of hidden sin.

As I healed my sins, my bones grew old from my constant groans all day long (Ps 32,3).

5. La results from listening to the Word of God

And so faith comes through preaching and preaching through the word of Christ (Rom 10:17).

However, these were recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you can have life in his name (Jn 20:31).

6. Repeated focus on the suitability of Christ’s cross is crucial to security.

Having a high priest at the head of the house of God, let us approach, with a sincere heart, with full certainty of faith, with a purified heart of bad conscience and washing the body with pure water (He 10:21-22).

7. We must pray with pleading eyes to see the truths underlying safety.

Illuminate the eyes of your heart, to know what is the hope of his vocation, what is the richness of the glory of his inheritance in the saints and what is the supreme greatness of his power to those we believe, according to the effectiveness of the power of his power (Ep 1:18. 19).

8. Safety is not maintained in personal isolation

The eyes cannot say by hand: we don’t need you; from head to toe: I don’t need you (1 Cor 12:21).

Let us exhort ourselves every day, for the time called Today, that none of you may be hardened by the deception of sin (Hebrews 3:13).

9. La is not destroyed by God’s discontent or discipline

O enemy of mine, do not rejoice in me; even if I fall, I will rise again; If I live in darkness, the Lord will be my light; I will suffer the wrath of the Lord, for I have sinned against him, until I judge my cause and do my right; it will bring me to light and I will see his righteousness (M. 7. 8-9).

10. We often have to wait patiently for the return of safety.

I have confidently waited for the Lord; bent down and listened to me when I asked for help. He pulled me out of the well of condemnation, of confusion; put my feet on a rock and stabilized my footsteps. And he put on my lips a new song, a hymn of praise to our God; many will see these things, fear, and trust in the Lord (Ps 40:1-3).

11. Safety is a fight that lasts until the day we die

Fight the good battle of faith. Take possession of eternal life, to which you have also been called, and from which you have made a good confession before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12).

I fought the good battle, I finished my career, I kept the faith (2 Timothy 4. 7).

12. Safety is a gift of the Holy Ghost

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God (Rom. 8:16).

He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in him; He who does not honor God makes him a liar, because he does not believe in God’s testimony of his Son; and the testimony is this: that God gave us eternal life; and this life is in your Son (1 Jn 5:10, 11).
