Verse of the day: God’s ways are eternal. (Habacuc 3. 6)
What God has done for a while, He will do again. The ways of men are variable, but the ways of God are eternal. There are many reasons for this poignant truth. Among them, the following: The ways of the Lord are the result of wise deliberation. Does he order all things according to the counsel of his will? (Ephesians 1,11). Man’s action is often the hasty fruit of passion and fear, followed by regret and change. However, nothing can surprise the Almighty or happen differently than he intended. His ways are the fruit of unchanging character, and in this way we can clearly see the fixed and unchanging attributes of God. Unless the Eternal God undergoes changes, his ways, which are Himself in action, must remain the same forever. He is eternally just, faithful, wise, merciful, and compassionate. Therefore, your courses must always be distinguished by the same excellence. Men act according to their nature. When a man’s nature changes, his attitudes also change; but does not God know the variation or the shadow of change? (James 1,17). Furthermore, God’s ways are the embodiment of irresistible power. Habakkuk said that God divided the country with rivers; the mountains have seen it and are writhing; the depths of the sea raised their hands; and the sun and light stopped as Jehovah walked to deliver his people (see Habakkuk 3: 9-13). Who can raise their hand or say, “What are you doing? But it is not just power that guarantees stability. The ways of God are manifestations of the eternal principles of justice and, therefore, they will never disappear. The unelected race is wasted and ruined, but true believers have a vitality within them that ages cannot diminish. On this day, let us confidently seek our Heavenly Father, remembering that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (see Hebrews 13: 8) and that He is always merciful to His people.
