Verse of the day: Faithful is the one who calls you, who will also (1 Thessaloniki 5. 24).
Heaven is a place where we will never sin and where we will cease our constant vigilance against a tireless enemy. There will be no temptation to catch our steps. There the vile ceases to bother and the tired rests. Heaven is the? Legacy intact and unblemished? (1 Peter 1. 4). It is the land of perfect holiness and total safety. But don’t believers, even on earth, sometimes show the joy of blessed security? The Word of God teaches us: all who are united to the Lamb are safe; all the righteous stand in his way; those who have given their souls to the care of Christ will find that he is a faithful and unchanging steward. Backed up by this doctrine, can we be safe even here on earth? not that high and glorious assurance that frees us from all error, but that holy assurance that flows from Jesus’ infallible promise that none of those who believe in him will perish, but will be with him where he is. Believing, we must always meditate on the joy of the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints and honor the faithfulness of our God with a holy trust in Him. May our God bring you the feeling of your security in Christ Jesus. Can He assure you that your name is written on His hands and whisper the promise: “Do not fear then, because I am with you?” (Isaiah 43. 5). Look at him, the great guarantor of the covenant, the one who is faithful and truthful and who, therefore, is obligated and works to present you, the weakest of the family, with the entire chosen race, before the throne of God. In such sweet contemplation, you will drink the aromatic wine of the Lord’s pomegranates and taste the delicate fruits of paradise. Will you savor the joys that delight the souls of perfect saints in heaven, if you can firmly believe it? Faithful is the one who calls you, who will also do it.
