Verse of the day: Ask and it will be given to you. (Matthew 7. 7)
I know of a place in England where a piece of bread was served to everyone who passed by and decided to order it. Whoever passed by, all he had to do was knock on the door of the Hospital de Santa Cruz and there was a piece of bread for him. The Lord Jesus Christ loves sinners so much that He built the Hospital de la Cruz. When the sinner is hungry, he only needs to knock and his need will be met. No, he did even better. Linked to this hospital da Cruz, a bathroom. When a soul is impure, all it has to do is go to the cross and be washed. The fountain is always full, always efficient. No sinner has ever gone to the source and found that he could not remove the stains. The sins that were like scarlet and red like crimson have disappeared, and the sinner has become more concentrated than snow. As if that were not enough, attached to this Hospital da Cruz there is a closet, and a sinner, using it simply as a sinner, can dress from head to toe. If you want to be a soldier, you can have clothing that is not just ordinary, but armor that covers you from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head. If you ask for a sword, it will be given to you along with a shield. Nothing good will be denied you. You will have everything you need as long as you live; and he will have an eternal inheritance of glorious treasures when he enters into the joy of his Lord. If all these things can only be obtained by those who knock at the door of mercy, my soul, knock loudly and ask great things from your generous Lord. Do not leave the throne of grace until all your needs have been presented to the Lord and, by faith, have an invigorating hope that they will all be met. No shyness should stop you when Jesus invites you. No unbelief should stop us when Jesus promises. No callousness should get in the way when such blessings are to be obtained.
