A terrible fate
Verse of the day: Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath (1 Thessaloniki 1. 10)
- Do you remember the moment you got lost as a kid.
- Fell off a cliff.
- Or were you about to drown? Then all of a sudden.
- You were saved.
- You’ve kept the ‘loved life’.
- You trembled about what you almost missed.
- You were happy.
- Oh.
- So happy and grateful.
- And you trembled with joy.
So I feel at the end of the year regarding my rescue from God’s wrath, every Christmas day we had a fire in the fireplace, sometimes the embers were so hot that when I approached my hand hurt a lot, I would retreat and shudder. thinking of God’s horrible wrath against sin in hell. How horrible it will be!
On Christmas afternoon, I visited a woman who had suffered burns to more than 87% of her body and had been in the hospital since August. My heart was moved by it, how wonderful it was to offer you the hope of God’s Word! However, I left not only thinking about your pain in this life, but also the eternal pain from which I was saved by Jesus.
Is this trembling joy an appropriate way to end the year? Was Paul glad that the Lord of heaven was Jesus, who delivered us from the coming wrath?(1 Thessalonians 1. 10). Who disobeys the truth? (Romans 2. 8). And?By these things [sexual immorality, impurity, and greed] comes God’s wrath upon the children of disobedience?(Ephesians 5. 6).
Now, at the end of the year, I finish my journey through the Bible and read the last book, Apocalypse. Is this a glorious prophecy of God’s triumph and the eternal joy of all who receive?Brandy free? (22,17). No more tears, pain, depression, sadness and death (21,4).
But O the horror of not repenting and clinging to the testimony of Jesus! The description of God’s wrath on the part of the?Apostle of love? (Joo) is terrifying. Those who reject God’s love will drink wine from God’s wrath, prepared, un mixed, for the cup of their wrath, and will be tormented with fire and brimstone before the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. rises through the centuries, and they have no rest, day or night?(14. 10-11). « What if someone wasn’t inscribed in the Book of Life, was thrown into the lake of fire?(20:15). Will Jesus tread the wrath of the almighty God?(19,15). And will the blood go from the mill to the reins of the horse, in an extension of a thousand and six hundred steps?(14,20).
I tremble with joy because I am saved, O the holy wrath of God is a terrible destiny!Run away, brothers and sisters. Run with all your might and let’s save as many people as possible. It is not surprising that there is more joy in heaven for a sinner who repents than for 99 righteous (Luke 15:7)!
