Children of a God Who Sings

Verse of the day: After singing a hymn, they headed to mount olive trees. (Mark 14. 26)

Do you hear Jesus sing?

Was there a simple tone in your voice or was there a firm, unwavering tone?

Did he close his eyes and sing to the Father?

Are you used to starting the song?

Oh, I can’t wait to hear Jesus sing! I think the planets would go out of orbit if it raised its natural voice in our universe. But we have a kingdom that cannot be shaken; So, Lord, come and sing.

Christianity is a faith that sings, and it could not be otherwise. The founder sang. He learned to sing with his Father, they certainly sing together from eternity.

Does the Bible say that the purpose of music is to raise your voice with joy?(1 Chronicles 15:16). No one in the universe has more joy than God, he is infinitely happy. He has rejoiced since eternity in the perspective of his own perfections, perfectly reflected in the divinity of his Son.

God’s joy is of unimaginable power. He’s God. When he speaks, galaxies are born. And when he sings with joy, more energy is released than in any matter and movement in the universe.

If you chose music to express our deep joy in it, isn’t it because you also know the joy of expressing with delight the joy of your own heart in yourself? We are a people who sing because we are children of a singing God.
