So when we face the desolations of uncertainty, when there is suffering and agony in our lives or in the world, and we wonder what God is doing and we have no answers, and we read the book of Job, this literature of wisdom, which we have seen in the sessions, and we hear God say “You don’t understand everything. “Now we can add one last thing: “Only God can speak of our wounds, and no god has wounds except you. “trust in a God who is not only sovereign, but bleeds for you, and sometimes when there are no other answers to your faults, fears, certainties, or anxieties, there is an unalterable place for you, it is the earth before the cross.
